For those who are serious about their PC performance, we present the Computach. The Computach is an incredibly intuitive and fun way to express CPU usage like a tachometer installed on the dashboard.
The Development Process
Product Purpose
Designed to provide critical PC performance in a novel and fun way.
Scale and Interface
The idea was to have a physical gauge like a tachometer installed above the dashboard in a racecar.
Engineering Technology
It was necessary to develop custom printed circuit boards to fit in the custom enclosure. This allowed for the attractive progressive LED backlighting effect.
Prototype Fabrication
The result was something you’d think to find in a race shop!
The Results
Computach was designed to be a device you can connect via usb to your PC, and it can output critical PC performance information in a fun and attractive form factor. Instead of needing to open up specific PC software to look at RAM usage, CPU utilization, network speeds and ping times, the Computach device allowed a user to have that information at their fingertips in an external device.
